I work with tech companies in healthcare and financial services to write content marketing pieces that concisely and engagingly explain the value of their offering to a non-technical audience.
Writing has always come (relatively) easy to me. One of my earliest writing memories is the satisfaction I took from composing mandatory thank-you notes to my aunts.
My company used to be called Impact Copywriting and I launched that venture in 2003. I worked with clients in technology, healthcare, financial services, and the arts to write online and print marketing collateral.
In 2010 I changed my name to “Hooked” to better reflect my focus, which is to write content that captures interest for online marketing initiatives.
Before I was an independent writer, I worked with a boutique sports marketing firm, a reverse logistics dot-com and a management consulting firm. With all three I wrote and edited marketing materials, among other responsibilities.
I also spent my first few years out of college trying to make the world a better place with a non-profit alliance of social welfare and environmental groups—and a year after graduate school in Prague, teaching English to Czech business people.

When I’m not serving my clients, you can find me cooking, enjoying a glass of wine, or trying to work off all those calories on a hike or in the gym.
Last, but not least, I’m a proud mom (12-year-old boy) and the contented wife of a man who regularly makes me laugh. We live in Decatur, Georgia, just a few miles outside Atlanta.
